Background

Professional Experience

Corey Anderson is an accredited mediator whose career and leadership experience span 12 years and comprises more than 650 meditation cases. Corey possesses a range of mediation experience and has successfully mediated separation and divorce for same-sex, grey, and high net worth and those involving complex financial arrangements and children. Corey is also the owner of Fairway Edmonton Southwest and Fairway Edmonton Northwest locations, where he proudly leads teams of accomplished mediation professionals.

Naturally empathetic, each of Corey’s cases begins with sharing the wisdom that divorce is a chapter in life, not a destination, and his goal as a mediator is to keep things on track through to the end. Corey counts his desire to support families during a very stressful time as the reason he initially transitioned into a career in mediation, and he subsequently obtained his training and accreditation through the ADR Institute of Alberta. He sees his role as offering insight and assistance with navigating the separation and divorce process and is intentional about helping each client obtain a clear, positive, and cost-effective resolution.

Fairway’s step-by-step Independently Negotiated Resolution™ (INR) process keeps priorities and timing central, and Corey counts its structured flexibility, ability to empower decision-makers and speed as the most critical attributes. Corey maintains an atmosphere of information-sharing, flexibility, and autonomy to allow everyone to feel empowered to make informed decisions. He and the Fairway Edmonton teams are committed to guiding families through the process while avoiding confusion and delay, clearly negotiating the disclosure process so that both spouses know what to expect.

In addition to his daily work as a leader and mediator, Corey is the Associate Chair of Fairway’s governing Board, helping shape meditation methodology, support staff and expand professional legal and financial networks.
