Jen Banfield is a Mediator with Fairway Divorce Solutions’ Waterloo-Wellington Ontario office. Jen holds both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and an MBA from University of Windsor. She also has earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation.
Jen brings her strong financial knowledge and business acumen, along with her practical and personal experiences to her work with couples. She has over 20 years of experience in the corporate and financial world, with two of Canada’s leading financial institutions, BMO and RBC. Jen has held senior management roles with these respected financial organizations, including designing courses and teaching other financial planners to be their best. Jen’s client-centered approach, coupled with her leadership, training and coaching experience have made her the perfect addition to the Waterloo-Wellington team. She truly has a passion for helping families during difficult times in their lives to find a better way to a positive future.
When not working with couples in the divorce mediation process, Jen believes in actively contributing to our communities through volunteer work, whether this be on board membership or simply helping her son’s hockey team. She also keeps her teaching and training skills sharp as a Professor at Conestoga College’s School of Business.

To say Jennifer has deep expertise in all things financial would be an understatement. Prior to joining Fairway Divorce Solutions, Jen held senior leadership positions with BMO, including 8 years as a Vice President, Financial Planning for the Mid-Western Ontario region. She was also a Financial Planner for 6 years, earning her Certified Financial Planner designation in 2006, as well as earning her Certified Financial Divorce Analyst designation. Jen started her career in financial planning with RBC Dominion Securities, as an Investment Associate with the Waterloo Wellington office.
Jen is also a natural teacher and instructor. While with BMO, she held several positions in leading the design and development of learning solutions for financial planners. Today, she continues to sharpen that skill, as a Professor with Conestoga College
