To this role Mr. Herold brings over 28 years of franchise experience, most recently has was the Chief Operating Officer at 1-800-Got-Junk?, one of the most successful new business ventures of the last decade. Under Mr. Herold’s direction, 1-800 Got Junk? Has enjoyed exponential growth of its franchise network and widespread recognition for its business achievements. Growing from an initial base in Vancouver to a presence in virtually every major city in North America & Australia, the company will have 2007 revenues of $150 Million.
Cameron Herold was one of the principle architects of this explosive brand by facilitating unprecident exposure in the media. To his credit 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has been featured in USA Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and Fortune, and on Oprah, and Dr. Phil. It was recognized by Profit magazine in 1999 and again in 2005 as one of Canada's Top 50 fastest growing businesses. Herold brings a wealth of experience to the leadership team, and helps guild the company to develop a world-class corporate culture of employee empowerment. Prior to 1-800 Got Junk?, Herold was Vice President of Corporate Development at Ubarter.com, a 900-person firm with a $900 Million market cap based in Seattle, and a division of Network Commerce. From June 1998 to May 1999, Herold served as President of Barter Business Exchange in Vancouver, and from October 1994 to March 1998, Herold was Vice President of Franchise Development for Coast-to-Coast Franchise Services (Boyd Autobody & Glass). In these positions, Herold was involved in the sale, branding and integration of 120+ franchise locations, development and deployment of e-commerce and Internet strategies, negotiation of corporate acquisitions and development of numerous strategic partnerships.
